From its early origins as a farming district in the 1600s to its modern presence as a coastal playground for the rich and famous, throughout the ages, the Hamptons has been a source of inspiration. As one of the world’s most desirable styles for the home, it’s no surprises that it’s adopted by celebrities, architects, interior designers and homeowners today!

We recently worked on a home nestled in the beautiful suburb of Officer, Victoria. Situated on top of a hill and surrounded by green pastures filled with kangaroos, a winery and a panoramic view of this suburb, this home was the envy of the estate not just because of its location; but its curb appeal and style. The homeowners Mr & Mrs Lodder, together with our décor consultant John, brought the Hamptons style to life with suitable window indoor and outdoor coverings to match, and we’re sharing this project with you.

Plantation Shutters are a must-have

A classic staple window covering for the Hamptons is Plantation Shutters. Traditionally white is the colour of choice with more white, complemented by accents of blue in décor and timber furniture. This Hampton’s inspired beauty brings a luxury finish with the intricate details in styling and not to mention that gorgeous chandelier!

Elegant and Sophisticated touch

With any Hampton’s style home, delicate details are must that encapsulate the very essence of an elegant and sophisticated look and feel. This can be accomplished with Roman Blinds, which create a welcoming atmosphere in any room with their beautiful soft folds and timeless design. With a range of soft furnishing fabrics and standard Roman Blinds fabrics to choose from, you certainly can achieve the right balance to suit the Hampton’s style.

The perfect retreat

A retreat to relax and unwind, read a book, enjoy the fresh air is something we all need. This retreat built near the master ensuite and entertaining area is the perfect combination of indoor and outdoor coming together, with spectacular views and adorned with the perfect balance of colour, texture and shapes, with the furniture and décor choices. Combining beauty, durability and versatility, Victory’s exterior shutters offer a contemporary solution to problems such as sun exposure and privacy that incorporates gorgeous design. Open these up and the view of the winery with kangaroos hopping by makes for the perfect retreat.

Indoor or Outdoor entertaining

Bringing the outdoors indoors, can be achieved with simple daytime and block out Blinds. Mr & Mrs Lodder have the right balance here with plain white daytime and block out Blinds, in their indoor outdoor area. With this home situated on top of the hill, the natural light fills this room with the daytime sheer Blinds and keeps the room warm and cosy. Perfect if you feel like a BBQ on an autumn day. Finished off with timber furniture and blue coastal setting, you simply can’t fault this home and its Hampton’s styling.
